I created this neighborhood-building game celebrating the Mid-Century architecture of Palm Springs for my graduate school thesis project. Palm Springs was the first place to create tract housing designed by architects, and has many iconic Mid-Century buildings - some of which have been destroyed. My aim in creating this game was to educate players on the history, architecture (both lost and still standing), architects and building materials in an effort to promote preservation. I hoped that the framework of this game could be used by areas across the country to provide education on local buildings and promote preservation advocacy.
